Web designers! Need some inspiration?

If you're planning your new website, it's very difficult trying to come up with something innovative, new and exciting. Generally speaking, we need to spend time searching through various websites for our inspiration. We can source a colour scheme for inspiration, navigation ideas and much more. Problem is that websites have a bad habit of changing, much like wallpaper. Note a URL and go back to it later to find that it's completely changed, down or immensely slow. Not the best situation if you're sitting in a meeting with your web design team to show them inspiration for your site.

LittleSnapper 1.0.4 is a Mac-based commercial tool that's a little like Evernote. It enables you to browse the web and add grabs of a web page to the application, which you can use to build a database of inspirational ideas. You can add tags and other reference points, so you can quickly find sites based around certain colours, as an example.

Try it today!

My iPhone finally arrives!

Well...my phone has eventually arrived. Although I was expecting a CECT P168C phone, they sent me a SciPhone i68+, but I have no complaints. It only cost me £47 plus £12 postage and packing.

It's a great phone, it has a lot more likeness to the real iPhone than the one I originally ordered. I have just configured my WAP settings and it works a dream on Facebook.
Also, it contains two sim card slots, both of which are unlocked to any UK network, so I can manage both of my sim cards at the same time.

I've been up since 6am this morning, waiting for it to arrive, it's here and it's home to both of my Virgin Mobile sim cards. It's also very easy to upload pictures and music to the phone, I even bought an iPhone cover on Ebay, just to protect it from being scratched.

Anyway, i'm pleased and it's a massive improvement to my old phone. The only complaint I have was waiting 9 days for it to arrive.

I'm enrolling for Coleg Harlech

Well, I've been thinking about my future a lot lately, and I've been thinking about courses and qualifications that would allow me to attend a Uni next year, and I saw an Ad on Facebook about Coleg Harlech. They offer courses with some web design involved and the qualification will allow me to progress to Higher Education Degree studies.

I've sent out my application form for the September 2009 semester and I'm hoping they'll get back in touch with me.

If accepted though, this would mean that I would have to move to the college in North Wales for an entire year, I'd have to leave my family, friends and my beloved hometown, but it's something I've thought about and something that I would definitely enjoy and in the long hall, would benefit me in getting that degree which would help me towards a career in web design.

On the bright side - I can always come home for a few weeks during the holidays, to see my family and mates.

Anyway, watch this space!

Newcastle have been relegated!

Well, I think it was all on the cards really, Newcastle United lost to Aston Villa today and that ends their 16 year stint in England's top flight league.

As much as I wanted Newcastle to go down, in the end, they deserved to go down and they only have themselves to blame.

I feel that the squad they had could have done a lot better during the season, but it's always down to under performing, overpaid, football athletes and Alan Shearer did his best but could not control and discipline his players enough and that lead to their downfall.

I was watching Manchester United on Sky Sports 3 and I must say it was a fantastic strike from Darren Gibson, power, swerve and direction lead to a wonderful goal.

Anyway, my commiserations go to Alan Smith, Nicky Butt and to all of my friends who are Newcastle fans, I know they'll be heartbroken but I'm sure they'll bounce back next year and you never know, they might just win the Championship trophy, which to me, counts as a 'recognisable' trophy, which they haven't won in 50 or so years.

Anyway well done to United's second team and Sunderland. My commiserations go to Middlesbrough, West Bromwich Albion and of course Newcastle United.

Frank Lampard's ex-fiancee Elen Rives has revealed she is still heartbroken over their split - but says he could not care less.

She said: "He is so heartless. He's moved on and is seeing other girls.

"I text him to tell him I'm not coping but he doesn't care. I cry to him on the phone but I get nothing from him. No emotion, just blank. He's a b*****d. I still love Frank. I've been crying all night.

I want things to work out but don't know if it will. I don't know if he'll come round. I don't know what to do. To be honest I'm not doing very well. I have to be here. But I've been so sad.

"He's in our house which he has turned into a bachelor pad. And I'm in a small flat waiting for my own flat with our two daughters. The house is in his name. We're not married so I'm not getting the house."

The England midfielder Frank Lampard has phoned a radio station to round on a DJ who said he was "scum" for splitting up with the mother of his two children.

Lampard said the LBC 97.3 DJ James O'Brien was an "idiot" for upsetting his family on the first anniversary of his mother's death.

He also rejected suggestions that he'd treated his former partner badly since they split.

"CPIpay.com/n-remedies" scam

On the 5th of March this year, I came upon a website via Facebook called 'EMILLIONAIRES' that offered me the chance to make some extra ordinary amount of money, simply by clicking on ads.

The website offered this for a one off payment of 2.68 GBP, so I entered my card details and everything went through. I was given access to a website that offered advice and seminars on how to make this huge amount of money. The website was showing alot of good testimonials and success stories on how people were making the amount of money that they'd never earned before.

On the 18th of April, I recieved two unauthorised payments from 'CPIPAY.COM/N-REMEDIES' that came out of my bank totalling to 67.74 GBP.

I googled this address above to find out what it could be and I came upon several websites complaining that this was a scam and I also came across on some advice on how to get my money back.

I managed to contact my bank and reported this as 'fraudulent activity' in my account, and I cancelled my card.

On the 28th of April, the fraud team managed to pay back the amount that was taken from me, into my bank account.

I just think people should be aware of this and that you cannot expect to earn easy money on the internet.

If you have been affected by this, then cick on 'Read more'.

Newcastle United reserves 3-3 United Reserves
St James' Park, Newcastle - 30th March 2009

Well I have had a fantastic night, I went to see United reserves take on Newcastle's reserve team, the match ended in a 3-3 draw.

I took my giant Man Utd champions flag with me and I have just arrived home and I'm watching the highlights on MUTV and I was seen celebrating United's second goal on MUTV (view comments page to see it!), I was waving my flag about everytime the MUTV cameras up on the Gantry focus was on the touchline where I was sitting.

After the game, I went to get some of the player's autographs on my flag (Federico Macheda, Rodrigo Possebon, Daniel Devlin, Ole Solskjaer, Joe Dudgeon, Scott Wooton, Lee Martin, Matthew James, Richard Eckersley).

Gary Neville, as usual, was being mobbed and ignored me and didn't want to sign my flag!

I also managed to meet MUTV's Hayley McQueen, she signed my flag and we had a small chat with us (the few Man Utd fans that had turned up) and she was really friendly, polite and nice to us, when she came through those doors, the first thing I said was, "Hayley?! Hayley?! It's Lee from Gateshead!!!!", she then immediately stopped to sign my flag and have a small chat, she was awesome, I'm sure I'll have a few more chances to talk to her on MUTV soon.

It was good, except for one Newcastle fan, who was being ignorant to me, and even tried to steal my flag with all the signatures, and he shouted abuse to me, after I was leaving and cheering on the team, who were driving away in the coach.

It's been a great night and it was amazing to get the living legend Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's autograph, I told him I was at his testimonial and that I wished him all the best for the rest of the Reserves' season..and meeting THE Hayley McQueen has made my day.

My flag is going back up on my United bedroom wall for all Enternity!
